
Animated Exeter is an annual festival initiated in 1999 and developed by Exeter City Council. With an audience of around 15,000, Animated Exeter is now the premier animation festival in the South West. Its core aims are to Excite and inspire young people, Encourage and foster talent & Showcase high quality animation. These are achieved by a year round programme of workshops for schools and young people in the South West, with information about further education and career paths into the animation industry; competitions for animators; showcasing high quality international animation and curating exhibitions to entertain and inform the public.
Best of the West, student and graduate films from the South West of England and South Wales. Films selected in this category will be eligible for the "Emerging Talent Award". Prizes to be announced later. Deadline 1st November 2010.
Screen Out Loud is open for entries to amateur and professional animators (over 18) in the UK. Films selected for this category will be eligible for the "Independent Talent Award". Prizes to be announced later. Deadline 1st November 2010.
ExAnimation is open for entries to children and young people's animation workshops, school groups and individuals under the age of 18 based in the South West of England. Films selected for this category will be eligible for the "New Emerging Talent Award (Under 18)". Prizes will be announced later. Deadline 10th December 2010.
