Sony Professional is promoting its new NXCAM HXR-NX5E Camcorder by offering a competition for producers.  Closing date: 28th March.

The Sony PROduction Awards offer an opportunity for your work to be delivered and promoted across the web and there is the chance to win an all expenses paid trip for two to the 2010 UEFA Champions League Final.  The winner, and 8 runners-up will also receive training on the Vegas Pro 9 software.

Phase One of the competition requires submission of a 3 minute movie on the theme The Infinite Memory which must be shot on a Sony camcorder...judging is via the Web.  There is a prize of 900 Euros for each of the winners selected.  This phase of the competition entry closes on 28th March 2010.

In Phase Two, which is open to winners of Phase One, 3-minute movies will be shot only on NXCAM HXR-NX5E camcorders (Sony will provide on free loan), with the theme Non-Linear Space.  Entries in this phase must be submitted before midnight on Sunday 2nd May 2010
