Alastair Stewart OBE, will be interviewed, for Wessex Media Group, by Debbie Thrower about his career in television journalism, his charity work and the current issues facing the delivery of 24/7 news.His career in television started in 1976 in Southampton with ITV’s Southern Television. He was a reporter, industrial correspondent, presenter and documentary maker and recorded one of the last interviews with Lord Mountbatten before he was assassinated in 1979.
In September this year, he became co-presenter of ITV’s Evening News and it was also announced that he would be the main presenter of ITV’s general election results programme.
