Film education is a positive, rewarding and vital element of ensuring independent film culture finds new audiences and fosters deeper engagement in existing audiences. This course has been designed in response to numerous requests from cinemas, film festivals, cross arts venues and film societies for advice on initiating or developing an education programme. The day will give you the knowledge and confidence required to develop a strong, coherent and sustainable programme of formal or informal film education events for audiences young and old.
This event is for cinema and film festival education officers who are just starting out or who want to consolidate their knowledge Cross arts venue education officers who want to understand more about film Programming, audience development and managing staff of cinemas, festivals and film societies without a dedicated education officer who want to initiate or develop an education programme themselves Staff of screen agencies and other support organisations who want a stronger understanding of best practice in cinema education programmes.
