A selection of the best animation and video work by staff and students from BU and Arts University College at Bournemouth (AUCB - formerly the Arts Institute) will feature on the big screen in the Bournemouth Gardens this week.
The work will be screened from:
A public picnic (bring your own food) with an opportunity to meet some of the artists who contributed to the programme is scheduled on Saturday 4th July from 11.30am to 1.15pm.
Amongst the work to feature on the big screen, located near the Bournemouth Eye balloon, is animation and video by Stephen Bell, Lizzie Sykes, Emma Lomax, Clare Mangan, Todd Setter and Dean Wright from BU and Candace Davies, Laura Jefcoate, Hazel Barstow and the Animation Department from AUCB.
The screening is curated by SCAN, the BU-based agency which aims to develop media arts in the south of England. Directed by Helen Sloan and located in the Media School at Bournemouth University, SCAN works in partnership with a broad range of individuals, groups and institutions nationally and internationally to commission innovative projects that cross and merge disciplines drawn from arts, humanities, science and technology.
