This September, Paul Cronin, editor of the book On Film-Making, offers an opportunity for filmmakers to come together and immerse themselves in Mackendrick’s influential teachings over three intensive days at The London Film School. The Rose d'Or Festival, held annually in Lucerne, Switzerland, draws the best of the year's entertainment television programming. Also this year, the Rose d'Or Academy will take place during the Rose d'Or Festival from 18 – 22 September 2010 and gives young new talent a unique opportunity to learn from experienced professionals in an intensive one week workshop. This year the Academy offers a workshop on "How to produce an Entertainment pitch pilot".
