He has extensive experience as producer, director and executive producer on a wide range of projects from feature film to long-form TV documentary. His work has won more than 20 international awards. He was originator and producer of TOUCHING THE VOID, the most successful British theatrical documentary in UK box-office history. TOUCHING THE VOID was an unprecedented success with critics and audiences worldwide, taking 12 major awards, including the prestigious Alexander Korda Award for the Outstanding British Film of the Year in the 2004 BAFTA film awards.
