Professor Stuart Bartholomew has held posts at McMaster University, Ontario; the University of Alberta; the University of Derby; the Open University and as Dean of Media at The University of the Arts, London. He joined The Arts Institute at Bournemouth as Principal and Chief Executive in 1997.

Dean of the Media School, Bournemouth University
Before becoming Dean, Stephen spent most of his working career as a foreign correspondent and media executive, covering news in eastern and western Europe, the Middle East and the United States for the international news agency Reuters. During a series of postings over more than 20 years he was lucky enough to cover many top stories, ranging from the ousting of Margaret Thatcher and disappearance of Robert Maxwell to the fall of the Berlin Wall and the Clinton-Lewinsky scandal. He has reported extensively from the Middle East, interviewing King Fahd of Saudi Arabia and overseeing cover of the assassination of Yitzhak Rabin. In his final position at Reuters, he was global Head of News, responsible for all editorial output including text, television, news pictures and graphics. He also ran Reuters’ publishing programme, overseeing a series of books on foreign and financial affairs in conjunction with Pearson and Prentice Hall.

Kate is responsible for the policy and strategic management of Skillset's 'product' and research development. This includes standards and qualifications, training frameworks, employment-related research and Further and Higher Education developments. Kate is a member of Skillset's Executive Team.
   
Chief Executive, South West Screen
Caroline has been South West Screen's Chief Executive since the agency's launch in 2001 and has extensive experience of the media industry as a producer, director and commissioning executive. Prior to the establishment of South West Screen Caroline ran First Take Films, an agency dedicated to developing new talent based at Anglia Television. Caroline is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, a member of BAFTA and was recently awarded an MA in Cultural Leadership from City University, London.
